Mississauga, ON
The City of Mississauga, Ontario’s third largest city with a population exceeding 700,000, is a Canadian leader in energy efficient and intelligent streetlighting, Mississauga implemented one of Canada’s first full-scale LED & connected streetlighting conversions to the scale-up of 49,000 municipal streetlights to LED with adaptive controls This conversion allowed for a 50% Savings on Electricity Cost and 50% Savings on Maintenance Cost , which equaled to over $3, 000,000.00 yearly savings with a seven year payback.
